Beyond Futuristic Cameras
Aerial Surveillance with UAVs is the ability to gain close and clear observation of the activities of a person or group of people, to inspect infrastructures and buildings, to follow nature events or to direct traffic. The uses are endless and each one of these uses can be critical.
Aerial Surveillance can manage, influence, prevent or monitor ongoing live events. Sometimes it can be mostly efficient, but in many cases it can actually save lives. Drones enable many surveillance methods, including GPS tracking, camera observation, stake-outs, data mining and profiling, biometric surveillance and much more.
Today drones use not only conventional video cameras, but also thermal cameras and sensors that shoot at night, in bad weather conditions and provide imagery that the human eye is unable to detect. They can fly with almost no limitations, including narrow and confined spaces.
The uses of aerial surveillance are amazing and are limited only by imagination: criminal and illegal activities surveillance, surveillance of large events or demonstrations, traffic surveillance, monitoring of earthquakes, storms, hurricanes and volcanic eruptions, monitoring of flooding and fires, surveillance of farming work, monitoring of glaciers, monitoring of critical infrastructure, environmental monitoring, border surveillance, forestry monitoring and much more.
